Short and Sweet

Truett came down with a monsterous stomach bug on Monday and he's still battling it today. So this will be a short and sweet blog, just posting some pics.

Truett strutting his stuff at his buddy Noah's party...he was super proud of this hat that Tate brought him from Ohio.

This past weekend my not-so-little nephew Danny competed in the state power-lifting competition at the expo center. He did great! I can't believe I'm an aunt to an 18 year old!

Truett also had his Spring program at his school this past week. He danced to all the songs and sang until he saw Tate and me taking pictures. He is too cute!

After the rain, we went in search of the most awesome mud puddle, and we found it! We spent about an hour in the same puddle. Nothing is better than squishy mud between your toes with a few sheep pellets floating by...

7 Months Old and Cake

Little Liam turned 7 months old on the 7th! I can't believe it! He is such a joy to be around, always smiling, giggling and trying to suck on my face. I am so blessed to be his mommy, and try to remember that this age will fly by too fast when he's up in the middle of the night again, or he's cranky. I treasure this time!

He's still not thrilled about being on his tummy, it might be a while before he crawls. But I managed to keep him on his tummy for these pics.

This is my first baby shower cake I made for my best friend, Jessica. Overall I'm pleased with it, it wasn't perfect, but good enough!

I can't wait to meet your sweet little girl Jess! You'll be a great mommy!

Pictures for you Tate!

Tate is still in Ohio, and has been missing his boys like crazy (as he should!). My last post only had 1 picture of Liam, so Tate asked for some of him. Can't wait for you to get home sweetie!

Zoo Trip

This week Truett and I were finally able to go to the zoo. This is the first time we've gotten to do anything just the two of us since Liam was born, and it was a blast. Truett was in a great mood, enjoyed all the animals and even let me hold his hand! I always forget though, that the Abilene Zoo only takes about 30 minutes to walk through, not a few hours like the Ft. Worth Zoo. So we were done pretty quickly. But it was a much needed "date" for us both. He told me as we were leaving that the next time we come, I can bring Liam and Daddy if I want to.

And my sweet Liam. This is how he typically falls asleep, something on his head. Look how long he is! And I can't believe today he's 7 months old! I say this about every stage, but I LOVE this stage he's in. It's hard not to get sad that he keeps getting older, but he's such a fun baby!
