My sweet Truett turned 4 yesterday. I can't believe again, that 4 years have gone by. These past 4 years have had their ups and downs, but by far have been the happiest of my life. I would never go back to my life without children.
Here are just a few things I adore about Truett:
-He has a very tender heart towards people, animals and all of God's creation.
-Everytime he passes a wildflower, he has to pick one for me.
-He is ALL BOY! 100% BOY!
-I love the little surprises I find in his pockets (rocks, sticks, dead bugs, snacks)
-I love that he prays to Jesus all through out the day, for big things like Daddy to be safe, and for the little things like for it to rain.
-I love that he protects me, his princess, from Daddy, the giant.
-I love that he acts shy, but he is SO completely not shy!
-I love the songs he makes up daily. They are usually a combination of 3 or 4 songs he already knows, with a few lines of his own. Like "Jesus loves a wretch like me over the hilltop up above the sky so high with lots of bugs in my pocket"... see? so cute!
-He gets lost in playing outside.
-He loves to cuddle.
-He calls himself a "wancher".
-He runs everywhere he goes out here.
I could go on, and on.
We had his birthday party on Saturday out here. He wanted a "Cowboy Backyardigans" party. I wasn't sure what that would look like, so we just had a hay "mountian" for the kiddos to climb on, corn for them to play in, lambs to look at, and lots of land for them to run on! It was a zoo out here, but so fun. The wind was gusting at about 35 miles an hour, so it didn't completely turn out like I planned, but it was a fun day.

Easter
We had a sweet Easter this year, getting to share it with Liam. It was beautiful as opposed to last year. We also got to share it with our life group. I might not have said it before on here, but God has richly blessed us with our life group. They are our closest friends, our support, who we share our life with, and who we love so dearly. Our cups are overflowing!
Showing off his treasures! Let's just say I hid about 95% of the candy.

8 Months of Liam
Liam is 8 months old, and I can't believe it. I know every mother goes through this several times in their childs' life, thinking "where did the time go"? I have loved every minute of these past 8 months. I can't wait to see what kind of little boy he will become. Right now though, he is a funny, sweet and joy-filled little baby. When I go to get him from a nap or in the morning, he kicks, squirms, squeals, flails his arms, so excited to see me. My heart melts! But watch out, since he's gotten his two bottom teeth, and this past week he got his two top teeth, he'll act like he's going to kiss you, open his mouth, then chomp on your cheek/lips/nose/ear...whatever is closest. He is also learning new baby words, sounding out new vowel/consonant combinations, and it's a hoot! I think he might be quite a scooter when he learns to crawl!

Ranchers, a Mohawk and a Bloody Nose
If I'm in a cranky mood, discouraged or moody, this little guy always cheers me right up. He's in this stage where you say, "give me a kiss", and he'll fiercely grab your cheeks (hair included), and firmly plant his sweet little lips on yours, as he tries to suck your lips! He is my little flirt.
Tonight Truett went out to help Tate feed the sheep. He was running to go play with all our ten thousand puppies (okay, somewhere around 15) when he did a nose-dive into the dirt. Tate brought him up to the house, with Truett howling, I thought he was dying! It was still traumatic though, as this was my first bloody nose to treat. He was a trooper, only milked it a little. But after a warm bath, a towel fresh out of the dryer, a banana and a good book, he was A-Okay. He wanted me to take this picture to show his friends his "bloody boogars".
I love being a mom to boys.
